Position Summary
The Senior Business Analyst will serve as a key business partner supporting strategic initiatives and enterprise projects across the bank. This role will work closely with business units, operations, technology, risk, finance, compliance, and external partners to define business requirements, document current- and future-state processes, identify gaps, support testing and implementation activities, and help ensure the organization is operationally ready for change. The ideal candidate brings strong banking domain expertise, experience supporting complex cross-functional initiatives, and the ability to drive alignment across multiple workstreams in a high-visibility environment.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Business and Functional Requirements: Lead discovery sessions and workshops with stakeholders across the bank to gather, validate, and document business, functional, operational, and reporting requirements for strategic initiatives and enterprise projects.
  • Business Documentation: Translate business needs into clear, traceable requirements, use cases, user stories, process maps, business rules, and decision documentation.
  • Testing and Validation: Develop and coordinate business test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria; support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect triage, and validation of end-to-end workflows and controls.
  • Stakeholder and Vendor Coordination: Serve as a liaison among business stakeholders, project leadership, technology teams, and third-party vendors to drive decisions, resolve issues, and maintain alignment on scope, priorities, timelines, and readiness.
  • Operational Readiness and Change Support: Support organizational readiness through procedure updates, training coordination, business readiness checklists, communication of process changes, and implementation support for impacted teams.
  • Governance and Reporting: Maintain organized, audit-ready project documentation including requirements, process maps, action items, risks, assumptions, issues, and status updates for leadership and governance forums.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve controls, enhance the customer and employee experience, and support ongoing operational and strategic improvements across the bank.

Supervision of Personnel
  • None

Working Conditions
  • Normal office environment; extensive use of computer; lifting up to 30lbs. The incumbent will be expected to be able to work Monday through Friday; occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

Travel
  • Occasional travel may be required based on project needs.

Qualifications Summary
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience
  • Minimum of seven years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking or financial services, including experience supporting large-scale system implementations, process improvement initiatives, or enterprise transformation efforts. Experience working across multiple banking functions such as deposits, lending, operations, finance, risk, and compliance is strongly preferred.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong knowledge of banking operations, products, and processes, with the ability to understand how changes impact multiple areas of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience with requirements elicitation, process mapping, gap analysis, impact assessment, and business documentation in support of enterprise initiatives.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, enhancements, and process improvement efforts, including testing, issue resolution, and business readiness activities.
  • Ability to develop and execute business test scenarios, support user acceptance testing, and validate that workflows, controls, and outputs meet business requirements.
  • Strong understanding of banking controls, risk considerations, and regulatory requirements as they relate to operational processes and organizational change.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across executive leadership, business units, technology teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to organize complex information, identify root causes, and drive resolution of cross-functional issues.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-visibility, fast-paced environment.
