About the Opportunity

CIYIS is seeking an experienced Business Process Consultant to support enterprise technology modernization, process transformation, and operational improvement initiatives within a large, complex organization. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, technical teams, and executive leadership to analyze business operations, elicit requirements, optimize processes, support application enhancements, and contribute to successful project delivery. The role requires strong business analysis, process engineering, testing, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Requirements Management
  • Elicit, analyze, document, validate, and manage business, functional, and system requirements.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops, process discovery sessions, surveys, and document analysis activities.
  • Translate business requirements into user stories, functional specifications, workflows, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Document and maintain requirements, user stories, backlog items, and project artifacts within Azure DevOps or similar work management platforms.
  • Develop user interface concepts, process flows, screen designs, and business workflows.
  • Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders, project teams, and technical resources to ensure business needs are accurately translated into technical solutions.
Business Process Engineering & Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze current-state business processes and identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, standardization, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop future-state process models and workflow designs.
  • Facilitate business process improvement initiatives across multiple functional areas.
  • Evaluate operational challenges and recommend practical, measurable process improvements.
  • Apply process engineering methodologies and continuous improvement practices to improve service delivery and organizational effectiveness.
Testing, Quality Assurance & Release Support
  • Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, test scripts, test scenarios, and testing documentation.
  • Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for system releases and enhancements.
  • Validate system functionality against approved requirements and business objectives.
  • Coordinate with developers, functional owners, and support teams to research defects, identify root causes, and validate corrective actions.
  • Capture, analyze, and report testing metrics and quality indicators.
  • Assess existing testing methodologies and recommend continuous process improvements, including automation opportunities where appropriate.
Data Analysis & Technical Support
  • Create, execute, and maintain SQL queries to support reporting, troubleshooting, testing, auditing, and business analysis activities.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, anomalies, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support ad hoc reporting requests and data-driven decision-making initiatives.
  • Assist in validating system integrations, interfaces, and data exchanges.
  • Support release planning, deployment readiness, and production support activities as needed.
Project Delivery & Governance
  • Support large-scale, enterprise-wide projects involving multiple business units and stakeholder groups.
  • Participate in project planning, status reporting, risk management, issue resolution, and governance activities.
  • Produce meeting summaries, status reports, decision logs, requirements documentation, and executive-ready project communications.
  • Provide task estimates, project updates, and progress reports.
  • Ensure project deliverables comply with organizational standards, methodologies, governance frameworks, and project management practices.
  • Assist leadership in identifying, escalating, and mitigating project risks and issues.
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Collaborate effectively with business leaders, project managers, architects, developers, testers, and external stakeholders.
  • Mentor and coach junior analysts and project team members.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder consensus-building efforts.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills when presenting complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and customer focus.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of Business Analysis experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline;
  • Minimum of four (4) years of Business Process Engineering, Business Process Improvement, or Process Transformation experience.
  • Experience working on large, complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and business functions.
  • Strong experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and system requirements.
  • Experience supporting Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid software development projects.
  • Experience developing user stories, process flows, and requirements documentation.
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience producing project documentation, meeting summaries, business requirements, and executive communications.
Technical Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong experience with:
