Job description

Principal Process Associate (Intelligent Automation Engineer)

Capital One is seeking a motivated professional for a Principal Process Associate position on the Finance Product and Data Solutions team.

In this role, you will work as a part of a highly collaborative team supporting the Finance organization. The associate will perform core intelligent automation duties, including designing cognitive workflows, scaling data compliance tracking, and expanding our automated bot ecosystem.

  • Gathers requirements, builds, tests, and deploys intelligent automation workflows and cognitive solutions using industry-standard tools with minimal oversight.

  • Utilizes best practices to optimize business processes using intelligent automation, machine learning (ML) integrations, and artificial intelligence (AI) to reduce incident handling time, change implementation time, and service delivery.

  • Creates monitoring and analytics solutions for automated workflows using industry-standard tools.

  • Creates processes, procedures, guidelines, and standards for intelligent automation development across the team.

  • Mentors junior team members in intelligent automation best practices.

  • Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in process management

  • At least 2 years of experience with Git or GitHub

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of Technology Project Delivery experience

  • At least 2 years of Automation Engineering experience

  • At least 1 year of experience with modern Intelligent Automation platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, python) and integrating cognitive API services (OCR, NLP, or Generative AI).

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Richmond, VA: $98,900 - $112,900 for Principal Process Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
