The Finance Manager will support the US Vision Care Contact Lenses business by providing financial leadership across forecasting, business planning, performance management, and strategic decision support. This role partners closely with Commercial, Marketing, Operations & Finance leadership to develop actionable insights, improve forecast accuracy, and drive business performance.
The position will also play a key role in advancing automation, standardizing financial processes, enhancing reporting capabilities, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Lead the monthly forecasting, annual planning cycle/target, and long-range planning processes for the US Vision Care Contact Lenses business.
  • Profit & Loss (P&L) ownership - Proactively monitor business performance vs. target; analyzing source of variances, timely identifying and recommending corrective measures and funding.
  • Partner with Commercial, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Finance leadership to provide financial guidance and support key business decisions.
  • Analyze business performance, revenue trends, market dynamics, pricing, product mix, and profitability drivers to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Deliver actionable financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Monitor actual results against forecasts and budgets, proactively identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including financial reporting, analysis, and management presentations.
  • Create executive-level dashboards, reports, and presentations that clearly communicate financial performance and business outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, process optimization, reporting enhancements, and standardization of financial processes.
  • Partner with commercial teams to evaluate product launches, pricing strategies, customer programs, and market opportunities.
  • Support business case development and financial evaluation of growth initiatives and strategic investments.
  • Ensure financial compliance, data integrity, and adherence to corporate policies and internal controls.
  • Serve as a trusted finance business partner, influencing stakeholders and fostering a culture of accountability and performance management.

What You Will Bring to Alcon:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • 5 Years of Relevant Experience English

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, commercial finance, business analysis, or financial planning.
  • Strong expertise in forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, and performance management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to present financial results, business insights, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or other professional finance certification preferred.
  • Experience supporting commercial organizations within healthcare, medical device, consumer products, pharmaceutical, or vision care industries preferred.
