As part of the eCommerce Strategic Partnerships team, work across several lines of business to be the merchandising general manager for one of Kroger's digital modalities (pickup, delivery, DeliveryNow). Interact across the entire eCommerce portfolio with a focus on continuous optimization of existing business lines, the largest of which are grocery pickup and delivery. Be the voice of the customer, understanding their pain points and then work across the organization to improve them. Shape and direct the priorities and project flow of the entire eCommerce Merchandising Performance team to meet the changing needs of the eCommerce business. Minimum

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience managing profit and loss statements
  • 2+ years of experience in using operational, marketing, and site levers to drive results in an eCommerce environment
  • 2+ years of experience in leading a results-oriented team, including project prioritization, setting team KPIs and objectives/key results, and balancing project workload of the team
  • 4+ years of experience in one of the following areas: replenishment buying/procurement, merchandising, store management, operations, brand management or project management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient knowledge of financial statements and budgets, as well as experience building financial models
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and train
  • Strong understanding of retail and eCommerce industry/technical terms and processes
  • Ability to use data to influence action plans and associated results across the organization
  • Ability to generate actionable insights through analysis of large, complex datasets from different data sources
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Master's Degree business, marketing, or related field
  • Any experience working with eCommerce merchandising or operations
  • Analyze sales performance and develop plans to support business needs, constantly assessing business results to drive revenue, profit, and market share
  • Manage smaller scale test-and-learn projects to develop learnings that can be applied to the entire enterprise
  • Work with cross-functional partners including site merchandising, marketing, operations and 84.51 to implement tactics to drive results
  • Measure tactical results of incremental plans, including the creation of measurement plans and reporting tools
  • Deliver well-structured, executive-level communications and presentations to gain buy-in and drive action
  • Use business metrics across modalities, retail divisions, and category groups to build a prioritized strategy to support achieving team success metrics
  • Coordinate and align project prioritization across cross-functional partners based on financial opportunity and return on investment
  • Establish benchmarks and own the reporting metrics for the Merchandising Performance team metrics and KPIs
  • Find ways to drive process improvement and implement change
  • Travel up to 25% to support the business
