One of our portfolio companies is a global B2B-software provider in asset-intensive industries, offering advanced tracking solutions for mission-critical, cross-company workflows. As a trusted backbone within its core markets, the company serves leading international enterprises and combines deep domain expertise with extensive proprietary data assets. The organization is now entering its next phase of international expansion and cross-industry scaling. To support this growth trajectory, we are seeking a high-impact executive partner to the CEO.

As Chief of Staff, you will join the management team and work closely with the CEO as well as the Motus team to co-drive the company’s commercial and organizational development. Your mandate is to drive growth, professionalize go-to-market activities, and scale the organization across existing and new industries. You will play a key role in shaping structures, accelerating further growth, and turning strategy into measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-driving strategic and operational leadership of the company in close partnership with the CEO and senior management
  • Ownership of go-to-market and monetization strategies across new and existing market segments, including further expansion into adjacent verticals beyond its historical core industry (such as logistics, renewables or manufacturing)
  • Development and scaling of the sales organization in collaboration with the Head of Sales, covering customer acquisition, account management, and organizational development
  • Operational sales responsibility including the design and execution of complex enterprise sales strategies, active prospecting, and the systematic build-up of a scalable, high-quality sales pipeline
  • Cross-functional leadership across all departments to streamline decision-making, strengthen execution, and increase transparency
  • Implementation and ongoing refinement of KPI-driven performance management and reporting systems
  • Responsibility for shareholder reporting, including P&L, KPIs, and other key company performance statements
  • Support of strategic M&A initiatives, including due diligence processes and post-merger integration activities
Profil
  • Proven leadership experience in senior roles, such as management consulting, (ideally SaaS) start-ups or scale-ups, or positions including Managing Director or Head of Department
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a results-oriented approach and a high standard of execution excellence
  • Demonstrated track record in building, scaling, and professionalizing organizations
  • Hands-on mentality combined with strong strategic foresight and long-term thinking
  • Outstanding analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives in parallel
  • Strong numerical and analytical aptitude, deep expertise in KPI-driven management, and demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for storytelling, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse, global teams and senior stakeholders
  • Ability to build trust, execution reliability, and cultural alignment within distributed remote organizations
  • Academic background in business (MBA), economics, engineering or a relatedfield
  • Experience in IT / software development is a strong plus
  • Full professional proficiency in English (German language skills are a plus)
