Job description

Kinetic Design + Development is looking for a Architectural Project Manager to join the Krew.

If you’re a project manager who thrives in both the creative and technical sides of the process, this role is for you.

This is a leadership role built for someone who can guide complex, design-forward architectural projects from first concept through final delivery. You’ll lead multiple projects on our Flex team, serve as a trusted client partner, and keep teams aligned, energized, and moving forward.

You’ll balance big-picture vision with day-to-day execution, mentoring talented team members, coordinating consultants, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring every project meets Kinetic’s high standards for design, quality, and client experience. If you love leading people, solving problems, and turning ambitious ideas into built reality, you’ll fit right in.

Who You Are

You’re a confident leader who brings courage, authenticity, adaptability, and heart to your work. You know how to rally a team, earn client trust, and keep momentum strong across multiple moving projects.

You combine sharp design instincts with practical execution. You communicate clearly, make sound decisions, and know when to coach, delegate, or step in. You value collaboration, respect diverse perspectives, and create an environment where people do their best work.

You’re energized by ownership and accountability. You care about quality, timelines, budgets, and outcomes, and you know great projects happen when strong relationships and strong systems work together.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead multiple complex architectural projects from concept through completion
  • Partner with the Principal/Studio Leader to drive project success across all disciplines
  • Serve as the main client liaison, providing updates, guidance, and strategic direction
  • Mentor, coach, and develop production staff throughout each phase of work
  • Oversee design concepts, plans, presentations, and proposals to meet client goals
  • Coordinate with interior design, permitting, project delivery, CA teams, consultants, and contractors
  • Review drawings, specifications, and documentation for quality, accuracy, and compliance
  • Perform quality control checks before handoff to Kinetic’s Quality Control Committee
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing resources, and overall workflow
  • Approve timesheets and support operational efficiency across the team
  • Solve challenges proactively with minimal supervision
  • Stay current on industry trends, technology, codes, and best practices through ongoing learning
  • Uphold company standards, policies, and all aspects of Kinetic’s HR Handbook

Tools You’ll Use

  • Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam
  • Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop
  • Rendering and visualization software
  • Project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning tools
  • Building codes, construction documentation, and QA/QC systems

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree from a NAAB accredited university
  • Architectural license required
  • 6+ years of relevant experience managing architectural projects
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced understanding of building systems, materials, codes, and construction methods
  • Proven experience with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and managing multiple projects
  • Strong design sensibility with the ability to balance creativity and feasibility
  • High attention to detail and confidence reviewing/redlining drawing sets
  • Strong emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and client relationship skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly, solve problems, and thrive in a fast-moving environment
