Description:

The Manager of Business Operations will oversee the organization’s financial management and internal business systems to support CRC’s continued growth and impact. This role requires a strong finance and accounting background, expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, and the ability to manage payroll, benefits administration, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities

  • Understands the importance of each guest, donor, and member and drives excellence to ensure an optimal experience in every way.
  • Leads all accounting and finance functions, including but not limited to accounts payable and accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger, journal entries, and the timely completion of the monthly and annual closing process and preparation of related financial reports.
  • Performs the daily internal work, including but not limited to AP / AR, reconciliations, vendor management, reporting, general ledger, process checks, cash, and budget management.
  • Supports the organization’s budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department leaders to build realistic financial plans, track performance against projections, and support long-term organizational sustainability.?
  • Maintains optimizes, and troubleshoots QuickBooks Online, ensuring data integrity, customizing workflows and reporting tools, and implementing best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Adheres to and ensures strict GAAP compliance, establishing and maintaining appropriate accounting controls, documentation, and audit readiness across all financial functions.
  • Assist with vendor contracts and relationships, ensuring agreements are cost-effective, performance aligned, and supportive of operational needs; manage contract renewals, negotiations, and compliance.
  • Leads operational improvement initiatives identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions grounded in data and best practices, including the development and maintenance of SOPs and safety procedures.
  • Manages organizational CRM and ticketing system, Veevart by Salesforce, including preparing financial reports and facilitating ticketing.
  • Administers payroll and employee benefits programs, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance across all HR transactions, including salary changes, deductions, and leave tracking.
  • Manages comprehensive benefit offerings, including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and retirement programs such as 403(b) and 401(k), while serving as a primary point of contact for employees and benefit providers.
  • Performs any other duties needed to help drive to our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced QuickBooks Online proficiency required.
  • Paylocity experience preferred.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • Nonprofit experience preferred.
Requirements:
  • Must have a passion for the mission of Carolina Raptor Center.
  • Must submit a standard background criminal background conducted by CRC.
  • No visa sponsorship is available for this role.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess reliable transportation.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy, occasionally loud environment.
