Job description

Orchard Robotics is a Series A startup backed by top VCs like Quiet Capital, Shine Capital, and General Catalyst. We're securing America’s food supply by building the AI farmer that automates our nation’s farms. We've raised over $25M in pursuit of our mission to help farmers farm more profitably and sustainably than ever before.

What We Do:

At Orchard Robotics, we’re building the future of farming. Our AI-powered camera systems collect the most valuable data for farmers, telling them everything about what is growing on their millions of trees, across thousands of acres of farmland.

Our state-of-the-art computer vision and AI analyzes every one of the billions of fruit across a farm. All this data lives in our cloud platform, FruitScope OS, that we've developed from the ground up to help farmers manage their crops with precision.

Today, our technology is trusted by some of the largest farms in the nation. Farmers use our software every day to make critical decisions and run more efficient, profitable operations.

The Role:

We're hiring for Business Operations, and looking for a high-agency, tech-native operator who thrives in chaos, moves fast, and wants to scale one of the most ambitious ag-tech startups in the world.

This is a 996-style role: long hours, relentless execution, and constant problem-solving. The work will not be easy, fun, or glamorous, but the impact you’ll have here will be unmatched. You’ll touch nearly every part of the company and directly influence how we deliver for our customers and grow as an organization.

This role sits in our Operations team, with very close collaboration with our Strategic Operations Lead, our Hardware Engineering Lead, and our field technicians. It’s a high-visibility, high-ownership position across multiple streams (operations, supply chain, product, and marketing).

What You’ll Do:
  • Connect teams: Act as the hub between customers, engineering, operations, and sales to keep projects aligned and moving.

  • Manage projects: Track timelines, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple teams. Stay one step ahead of deadlines.

  • Supply chain management: Work directly with our hardware team and external vendors to anticipate timeline hurdles and mitigate supply chain risk.

  • Field deployments: Support new customer deployments, hardware QA processes, camera rollouts & upgrades, shipping, parts deliveries, and more.

  • Coordinate success: Track issues and solutions with engineering and operations, escalate appropriately, and keep internal and external stakeholders aligned.

  • Build for scale: Transform recurring solutions into systems, such as SOPs and automation.

  • Obsess over details: Maintain high standards for precision, quality, and follow-through.

Who You Are
  • Early-career operator with 1-3 years of industry experience in a fast-moving environment (startup, operations, or customer-facing tech).

  • Tech and AI-native. Fluent in Slack, Linear, Google Workspace, Canva, AI tools, and modern ops tools.

  • High-agency executor. You don’t wait for direction; you take ownership, figure it out, and deliver results.

  • Excellent communicator. Confident with communicating respectfully, clearly, and constantly with customers, engineers, and executives alike.

  • Comfortable with unglamorous work. You’re willing to do what others won’t to make the company succeed.

  • Detail-obsessed and reliable. You catch what others miss and never let things fall through the cracks. You're good at getting to the bottom of things and are willing to do whatever it takes to succeed.

  • Strong fundamentals and background: Technical experience, Supply Chain experience, or Operational Field Management experience are all a plus!

Why Orchard Robotics
  • Competitive salary and generous equity compensation.

  • Opportunity to learn, operate, and grow faster here than anywhere else.

  • Room for growth and advancement, with the potential to grow into senior roles if you consistently exceed expectations.

  • High visibility and cross-functional impact across all of our internal teams.

  • Be part of the team building the backbone of a fast-growing company redefining modern agriculture.

  • We’re deeply motivated by the impact we’re making; every new feature created and new system deployed means less food that goes to waste, and more people who are fed.

Benefits
  • 100% paid health, vision, and dental insurance

  • Lunch provided in-office

  • Flexible time off

  • Monthly Wellness stipend

  • Regular team offsites & excursions for team bonding

If you want to make a positive impact in the world by building the future of farming, come join us!

Our Interview Process:
  1. 30-min call where we get to learn more about each other

  2. 90-min in-person meeting where you’ll meet our Hardware Lead and Strategic Ops Lead

  3. A 30-min call with our VP of Sales

  4. Final decision and offer (typically within 2 weeks of our first call)

Compensation Range: $100K - $160K
