AWS Talent Acquisition (AWS TA) is focused on recruiting thousands of customer obsessed people to help AWS live out its mission.
As a key member of the AWS Sales and Go-to-Market Talent Acquisition (TA) leadership team, the Senior Business Operations Manager will act as a business partner to the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager leading this team. This is a role which will provide a development opportunity for somebody to act as a seamless extension of the leader of the organization, allowing the TA leader to scale and operate more productively across their organization, while serving as counsel and advocate. In this role, the Sr. Business Operations Manager will partner with the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager's leadership team and a wide array of Amazon stakeholders, and will be expected to influence and drive decisions, and work with other senior leaders across the broader Amazon TA organizations.
This position requires superior analytical strength, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to synthesize moving parts of the business to drive the business forward. The role demands a strong sense of urgency, the ability to influence and make sound judgement calls, and willingness to roll up your sleeves. The individual will need to effectively work with the TA Leader, their direct reports, global partners, AWS business ops/finance and our central program and data analytics teams. The right candidate for the role will possess a strong operations background, and must be able to thrive and succeed in an ever changing environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.
Key job responsibilities
• Rhythm of the Business:
o Enable the aligned TA leader to effectively run and inspect their business through structured operational cadences
o Run and write internal and external-facing WBRs, MBRs, and team meetings on behalf of the leader
o Track and report progress on goals set forth by the leader
o Manage headcount and budget on behalf of the leader
o Own org all-hands content, team communications, and strategic documents on behalf of the leader
o Embed deeply into the strategy and deliverables of the aligned TA leader's business
• Analytics:
o Serve as the primary point of contact for all business-facing and internal-facing reports, dashboards, and data insights
o Produce regular and ad-hoc reporting to support WBR/MBR meetings and strategy documents
o Maintain expertise in all relevant Recruiting, Finance, and HR Analytics-owned dashboards
o Act as the primary liaison to analytics and provide last-mile analytics support for the aligned TA team
o Own and drive the analytics roadmap for the aligned TA organization
• Project Management:
o Lead and project manage initiatives on behalf of the leader
o Drive outcomes through influence, leading without authority and through others
o Own the work delegation process and track all in-flight projects across multiple owners
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Knowledge of general AI tools
- 3+ years of Talent Acquisition experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
