Business Operations Manager

The Boeing Company is looking for a Business Operations Manager to join our Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) team in Seattle, Washington.
This position will lead our Business Operations team that drives business integration, planning, and execution for our Flight Operations and other core statements of work within BT&E. This manager will lead a team of business operations specialists and staff analysts in Seattle, Charleston, St. Louis, and California. This position will work directly with high levels of executive leadership and will report to the BT&E BCA Test Programs, Flight Operations, and BT&E Core Support Business Operations Senior Manager.
A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate effective problem-solving abilities. They will be able to manage tasks with accuracy, define processes, and collaborate clearly and professionally with team members at all levels.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Manage a diverse and distributed team with complex statements of work across various BT&E organizations with competing priorities
  • Lead the application and execution of Program Management Best Practices
  • Ensure standard and consistent operating rhythm to address recurring and emergent priorities integrated with the appropriate stakeholders
  • Develop, integrate, and coordinate commitments with internal and external organizations to fulfill business goals, objectives and strategies
  • Identify, document, and ensure plans are in place to mitigate risks and issues, and capture opportunities
  • Identify and communicate cost, quality, schedule, and safety imperatives
  • Provide ongoing training and guidance to direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Do you meet this requirement?
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
  • 1+ years of experience in management or leading teams
  • 3+ years of experience with business integration
  • 5+ years of experience working in a cross-functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership
  • 5+ years of experience with Project Planning, Scheduling, Project Management or related experience
  • 5+ years of experience producing and presenting presentations at the Executive level
  • 5+ years of experience collecting, interpreting data, and managing high level projects for Executives or Senior Leadership
  • 5+ years of experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal and external), government and community customers, and representatives
  • Willing and able to travel domestically 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience in management or leading teams
  • Experience in Business Operations
  • Experience in Flight Operations
  • Excellent business acumen, written and verbal skills, and ability to solve complex problems
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
