Business Operations Manager

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a 737 Business Operations Manager to join the Program Planning, Data and Work Statement Management team based out of Renton, Washington.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage a high performing team that will:

    • Develop, maintain, integrate and analyze program level plans and schedules in accordance with project management industry standards and Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP)

    • Serve as a consultant to the Project, IPT or Airplane Level leader to establish requirements, define scope, and align objectives across internal/external & cross-functional stakeholders

    • Model adaptability and resilience, quickly ramping up on programs or initiatives by providing leadership & support to mitigate risks, establish best practices, and execute projects

    • Create and manage program plan artifacts such as Work Breakdown Structures, Master Phasing Plans, Critical Path Plans, and Risk/Issue/Opportunity management

    • Provide visibility of complex, interrelated projects to inform leadership decisions

    • Prepare project briefings to communicate project status, performance to plan, and recommendations

    • Lead and advise all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion

    • Create schedules, reports, metrics, change activity, and updates plans regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project

    • Works to improve project management processes and business systems that support project decision makers

    • Create, lead and manage Program Directives communicating status and risks to senior and executive leadership

    • Manage Program work statement through CCB0 Change Board and Program Directive Portfolio in accordance with Boeing best practices

    • Create, manage and analyze KPIs for the Program leadership team driving continuous Program improvement

    • Manage the Work Movement team that leads the transfer of Parts, Process and Budget between Renton and Supply Base through gated process.

    • Manage the Warranty Team that represents airplane programs VP/GM on Warranty decision teams and financial accountabilities

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Renton, Washington.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in Program Management on a large program effort

  • 5+ years of experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functionalproject/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience managing or leading people or teams

  • Builds Positive Relationships

  • Global Perspective and Project Management

  • Knowledge of Business Acumen and System Thinking
