Position Summary
The Business Office Assistant supports the Business Office Manager (BOM) with the day-to-day operations of the business office while helping ensure accurate billing, collections, admissions verification, and administrative functions. This role serves as a key resource for residents, families, and staff and will provide coverage for the Business Office Manager as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily business office operations and administrative functions
  • Provide coverage for the Business Office Manager during absences
  • Support billing and collections processes
  • Supervise and support front desk reception staff
  • Collaborate with facility leadership and corporate teams to resolve billing and payer issues
Requirements
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Business Office Manager experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Medicaid application processes and submissions preferred
  • Experience with insurance verification and payer eligibility reviews preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare billing systems preferred
