Position Summary:
As a Business Analyst within Defense ET&S, you will report directly to the VP Engineering Operations, Defense, and work routinely alongside the Defense Business Support team and Program Management Office. In addition to coordinating, integrating, and managing operational data to drive divisional performance and governance, you will also act as a deputy chief of staff, supporting executive leadership with high-level coordination and strategic management activities.
A successful Business Analyst is professional, experienced, and has a proven track record of timely and accurate delivery. You are open-minded and enthusiastic about change, positively embrace challenge, and can collaborate effectively across business boundaries. Comfortable supporting high-level executive activity, you are proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
What You Will Be Doing:
  • Manage and coordinate divisional operational data to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Assist Program teams in developing operational estimates and plans that support divisional strategy and delivery.
  • Operate within established processes to ensure right-first-time provision of data to Group ET&S for enterprise management and governance.
  • Support divisional operational risk management, priority setting, and portfolio-level decision making.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of divisional policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Execute chief of staff activities for the VP Engineering Operations, Defense, including coordinating executive meetings, tracking strategic actions, and preparing communications and presentations.
  • Embrace and drive new tools and methods to enhance operational efficiency across Defense ET&S.

Basic Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Management, Finance, Industrial Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree n Engineering, Business, Management, Finance, Industrial Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field OR
  • JD/Ph.D.
  • In order to qualify for this role you must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Preferred:
  • Primavera P6 and EVMS forProject Professional experience
  • National vocational qualification in an applicable field and/or recognized relevant operational data management experience through professional development
  • An engaged, curious outlook and ability to manage continuous change in a rapidly evolving organization
  • Ability to work effectively and self-direct within a small, focused ET&S operational team interfacing regularly with colleagues across the organization
  • Competence with numbers and basic formulas
  • Experience with data complexity
  • Good working knowledge of relevant enterprise Rolls-Royce systems, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI
  • Program Management/Control toolset literacy
