Job description

C.H. Robinson is looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key role in transforming complex operational data into actionable insights that improve efficiency, visibility, and consistency across our warehousing and consolidation operations. You will partner closely with operations, analytics, and leadership teams to develop scalable reporting solutions, create impactful visualizations, and support data-driven decision-making across the business.

Eden Prairie, MN or Plainfield, IN (Hybrid) - In office at least 3 days per week for onboarding (first 3 months). Long term, 1 day per week is required, with Tuesdays as the designated in-office day.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this positionconsistsof, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain business intelligence solutions, dashboards, and reporting tools that support operational and strategic initiatives

  • Translate complex operational data into actionable insights that improve efficiency, visibility, and decision-making

  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions

  • Develop database queries, data models, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI and Tableau

  • Enhance and support existing analytics platforms, reports, and reporting processes

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with analytics, operations, and product teams to support data-driven and predictive solutions

  • Present analytical findings and recommendations in a clear, business-friendly format to stakeholders across the organization

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, process flows, and project-related materials

  • Identify trends, operational opportunities, and process improvement recommendations through data analysis

  • Build strong partnerships across teams while supporting continuous improvement and data best practices

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum 2 years of analytics experience developing business solutions using robust data assets

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred

  • Intermediate knowledge and practical application of a programming language

  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly insights and presentations

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

  • Logistics, warehousing, transportation, or supply chain experience

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar reporting and visualization tools

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

  • Strong understanding of data integrity, testing, validation, and reporting best practices

  • Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional, or iterative environments

  • Positive and collaborative working style with strong relationship-building skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills across multiple audiences

Compensation Range

$66,300.00 - $139,700.00
