Day to Day as a Business Intelligence Developer-Analyst

As a Business Intelligence Developer-Analyst, you will play a key role in strengthening SkyOne's data-driven decision-making. You will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that support operational performance, innovation, and strategic insight. Partnering closely with business stakeholders, you will translate business needs into clear technical specifications and deliver optimized BI and Enterprise Data Warehouse reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions.

Your work will help ensure the integrity, security, and reliability of our data analytics platforms while supporting solutions that enhance business performance and deliver meaningful value to our members.

What You Need to Be Successful

To thrive in this role, you'll bring a strong blend of technical, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency in SQL Server and experience with BI tools, dashboards, reporting platforms, and data visualization software will be essential. You should be comfortable collaborating with business users and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze needs, and transform them into impactful BI and AI-powered solutions.

Success in this position also requires familiarity with AI/ML models, generative AI tools, cloud AI/ML deployment, unit testing, and quality assurance practices for BI models. A commitment to federal regulatory compliance, responsible AI principles, data integrity, and a clean, safe work environment is also important.

Qualifications

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The company will not provide, transfer, or continue employment visa sponsorship at this time.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a BI Developer, Data Analyst, or similar role.
  • Experience in data warehouse design, ETL processes, and data modeling (e.g., star, snowflake schemas).
  • Proficiency with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, MicroStrategy, or similar).
  • Hands on development and support experience with the Jack Henry Advanced Reporting for Credit Unions (ARCU) Data Warehouse product a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, database management systems, and reporting services (e.g., SSRS, SSIS).
  • Experience with data integration, data mining, and OLAP technologies.
  • Experience with AI agents or autonomous analytics tools and AI-ready data preparation.
  • Practical knowledge of cloud AI/ML platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Understanding of AI ethics, data bias mitigation, explainability, and AI governance practices.
  • Effective troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, as a team member, and in a cross-functional capacity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous work experience at banks, credit unions, or other financial service institutions preferred.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
