Business Intelligence (BI) Developer
Location : (Must Reside in Sacramento, CA to be Considered) - onsite role
required local to Sacramento, CA only!!

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deliver BI solutions including enterprise reports, dashboards, data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL processes.
Collaborate with data architects, ETL developers, analysts, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
Integrate Generative AI into BI platforms to automate insights and improve decision-making.
Apply machine learning and AI frameworks to deliver predictive analytics and forecasting.
Translate business requirements into functional and technical design documents.
Develop and optimize SQL queries, procedures, functions, and views for performance and scalability.
Create and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
Perform deep-dive analysis of data sets to ensure high-quality reporting and business insights.
Lead and conduct functional testing of BI solutions, ensuring data accuracy and quality before release.
Perform monitoring and optimization of BI systems and solutions.
Provide written documentation, user guides, and weekly/monthly status reports.
Communicate technical risks and issues effectively and recommend solutions.
Support knowledge transfer to staff and stakeholders.
Minimum Required Qualifications
1+ year of hands-on experience using Generative AI in data analytics solutions.
5+ years of experience designing and developing data analytics and BI dashboards with Microsoft Power BI.
5+ years of experience creating and optimizing SQL queries, procedures, functions, and views with a solid understanding of database principles.
3+ years of experience developing solutions with Snowflake or AWS Redshift data warehouses.
 
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience working with Agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
5+ years of experience using Power BI Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) to create queries, measures, and models.
3+ years of experience in regulated industries such as government, financial services, or investment portfolios.
Strong ability to leverage business knowledge to design analytical data models and reports that serve business users.
Proven ability to conduct functional testing and validate BI solutions for accuracy and performance.
Experience leading requirements gathering, cross-functional collaboration, and functional design documentation.
Familiarity with additional BI/reporting tools such as Tableau or Looker.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences.
