We are partnering with one of our long-standing clients to hire a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney — Commercial, Regulatory & Public Law to join their litigation practice and support complex commercial, regulatory, and public law matters.

Role Overview

The litigation practice handles sophisticated disputes involving businesses and organizations across industries. The Associate Attorney will support—and where appropriate, take lead responsibility for—matters involving:

  • Commercial and corporate litigation, including contract disputes, fiduciary duty claims, and business tort matters
  • Partnership, shareholder, and corporate governance disputes
  • State and federal regulatory investigations and enforcement actions
  • Administrative proceedings and writ petitions challenging agency actions
  • Appellate matters and pre-litigation strategic counseling

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage litigation matters and discrete case components with increasing independence
  • Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and substantive legal briefs
  • Conduct and oversee written discovery and motion practice
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and client strategy sessions
  • Collaborate with partners on litigation strategy and case development
  • Develop legal analysis involving evolving statutory and regulatory frameworks
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and regulators

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of litigation experience in state and/or federal courts
  • Experience drafting dispositive motions and managing discovery
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to exercise sound professional judgment and manage multiple workstreams
  • Active membership in the applicable state Bar, or ability to obtain admission promptly
  • Experience with a leading law firm, litigation boutique, or government practice preferred
  • Judicial clerkship or government experience is a plus
