Job Summary

The Business Insights Intern will support the Market Research and Business Analytics teams by delivering actionable insights. This role provides exposure to competitive intelligence, market research, product testing, industry analysis, and business reporting while helping strengthen Benjamin Moore's understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.

The ideal candidate is curious, analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about transforming data and research into meaningful business recommendations. The internship offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in the coatings industry while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external research partners.



  • Monitor competitor performance, industry trends, and market developments across the coatings and building products sectors
  • Prepare executive-ready summaries, presentations, and reports highlighting key industry insights and business implications
  • Assist in the design, execution, and analysis of market research studies, surveys, and customer feedback programs
  • Coordinate product testing initiatives with internal stakeholders and external participants
  • Assist in test design, data collection, and analysis to ensure reliable and unbiased results
  • Develop recurring and ad hoc reports supporting Sales and Marketing teams
  • Analyze business performance metrics and provide data-driven insights to support strategic initiatives

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Market Research, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of and prior experience with Excel/PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated strength in oral and written communication must be able to assist in writing marketing project briefs, write general business correspondence, presentations, etc
  • Ability to communicate openly and honestly with colleagues and customers and influence. Takes personal responsibility for the quality and content of the work, and complies with information confidentiality requirements where applicable
  • Ability to work in a rapidly evolving environment and quickly grasp new concepts by demonstrating and applying knowledge of these tasks timely and accurately
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships by collaborating with customers by fully understanding and meeting their expectations
  • Seen as a team player that encourages collaboration and quickly gains trust and support of peers. Finds common ground and solves problems for the benefits of all
