Job description

ABOUT US
A Specialty Path to Good Health
Upperline Health is the nation's largest multispecialty physician groups introducing value-based care into places it's never been. We're rebuilding how healthcare works by bringing primary care into non-primary care settings and redefining the role specialists can play in driving patient outcomes.
Triage is temporary. Treatment is transformative. Our care teams provide wrap-around care for patients outside of their usual specialist appointments. This care team includes physicians, advanced practice providers, care navigators, pharmacists, dietitians, and social workers and works to solve both the immediate challenges and the long-term trajectory of every patient we touch.
We put patients at the center of value-based care and design everything else around that. We deliver whole-person care, wherever the patient is - in clinic, through telehealth, at home.
Upperline is headquartered in Nashville with clinics across the country.
ABOUT THE OPERATIONS & STRATEGY ASSOCIATE ("BizOps")

The right candidate is equal parts operator, strategist, and builder. You're the kind of person who gets energy from ambiguity, moves quickly without sacrificing judgment, and can context-switch between tactical execution and big-picture thinking. You're comfortable navigating unstructured problems, and you have a bias toward action - even when the path isn't fully mapped.
This role reports to the BizOps Manager. This is a hybrid position with flexibility for travel as needed.

  • Implement strategic recommendations by fostering collaboration across teams, setting expectations, and establishing targets for execution
  • Provide coaching and constructive feedback to facilitate the growth and development of individuals and direct reports
  • Organize strategic initiatives into actionable plans and communicate approach to leaders and teams
  • Plan the work and work the plan - assign workstreams to team members and self that reflect skills and development needs while meeting company needs and timelines
  • Demonstrate leadership and the ability to influence by initiating partnerships that promote organizational objectives and change

Leverage Complex Data to Drive Analytical Insights & Problem Solving
  • Break down complex problems into discrete tasks to scope projects into a defined set of tasks, responsibilities, and timelines and lead project execution
  • Lead root cause analysis, identifying different data sources and mining findings and insights using different analytic tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, PowerPivot, Excel) and creating ad-hoc analyses
  • Stitch together data from different sources to identify opportunities and recommendations to improve the business

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE OPERATIONS & STRATEGY ASSOCIATE
  • A bachelor's degree is required
  • 2-3 years of experience in management consulting, private equity, or operations at a growth stage company
  • Robust analytical skills and proven ability to be creative, resourceful, and relentless in solving complex problems with data and insights
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and model building, PowerPoint, and exposure to large language model tools
  • Experienced in stakeholder management, with strong proficiency in managing tasks and timelines across multiple teams to meet targets
  • Ability to ruthlessly prioritize
