Manager, Strategy & Business Development

Position Summary: Responsible for supporting TMTT's innovations strategy through external partnerships.
How you will make an impact:
Business Development Strategy & Pipeline Management
  • Support the development and execution of TMTT's business development strategy in alignment with business unit objectives and long-term growth priorities
  • Maintain the external opportunity pipeline, ensuring visibility into status, priorities, key milestones, and next steps
  • Prepare materials for leadership discussions on opportunity prioritization, diligence activities, and partnership advancement
  • Work with physicians, market research firms, and internal teams to identify and prioritize business needs across each therapy vertical
  • Partner with Clinical, Marketing, R&D, and Commercial teams to translate unmet needs into business development priorities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the structural heart, cardiovascular, digital health, and AI-enabled healthcare landscapes, including market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies.

Strategic Partnerships & Opportunity Execution
  • Serve as business lead for select partnerships, supporting contract execution and negotiation, integration planning, and ongoing relationship management
  • Track partnership performance against defined success metrics
  • Support cross-functional assessments of potential partnerships and opportunities
  • Develop business cases, recommendations, and executive-level presentations to support investment and partnership decisions.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships across the structural heart ecosystem, including imaging vendors, digital health companies, AI developers, provider networks, and emerging technology innovators to support future growth opportunities

What you will need (required):
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in in a scientific, technical, quantitative or business field plus 8 years of related work experience based on Edwards criteria OR
  • Master's Degree or equivalent plus 6 years of related work experience based on Edwards criteria and 3 years' experience in strategy, management consulting, business development, or marketing and sales required

  • Ability to synthesize complex information into a high-level strategic message, and to interpret internal/external business factors into recommendations and solutions.
  • Experience evaluating and advancing external opportunities through partnership, licensing, investment, or acquisition pathways.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a range of professionals to help navigate through complex situations.
  • Proven expertise in PowerPoint, Excel, clinical and financial comprehension, strategic frameworks, and live presentations, with high attention to detail and output.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Extensive knowledge of own area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards
  • Extensive understanding and interpretation of complicated market dynamics with the ability to identify and quantify market potential, and build business case with both business and financial analysis skills
  • Extensive understanding of related aspects of processes and/or systems
  • Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate value to the business
  • Ability to listen to stakeholders, discover unmet needs, develop strong rapport with audience, and be customer-focused.
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to represent leadership on sections of projects within a specific area interfacing with project managers
  • Ability to consult in project setting
  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.
For California, the base pay range for this position is $126,000 to $178,000 (highly experienced).
