Job description

Position Summary Odyssey has an exciting opportunity fo r a Senior Acq uisition Program Management Professional supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Disruptive Futures Division (AFLCMC/EBZ) at Eglin AFB, Florida. This position provides acquisiti on and program management support across the full life cycle of air armament and conventional munitions systems, enabling rapid, data-driven decision making in support of mission-critical programs. Our Program Managers support the government with planning, researching, analyzing and assessing the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of weapons systems and associated equipment acquisitions (development, production and deployment), and formulate plans and recommend strategies to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives. Responsibilities Duties may include, but are not limited to: * Provide acquisition program management support across all phases of the DoD acquisition lifecycle (Materiel Solution Analysis through Operations & Support) * Advise Government Program Managers on program execution, acquisition strategy, and risk management * Develop, review, and coordinate acquisition documentation such as: * Acquisition Strategy (AS) * Systems Engineering Plan (SEP) * Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) * Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP) * Statement of Work (SOW), Statement of Objectives (SOO), and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) * Monitor and evaluate program cost, schedule, and performance using metrics and Earned Value Management (EVM) * Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks; maintain and manage risk registers * Lead or support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), milestone reviews, and technical reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR) * Support source selection activities, including proposal evaluation and contract modifications * Coordinate across engineering, logistics, test, and financial stakeholders to ensure integrated program execution * Prepare and deliver briefings, status reports, and decision support materials to senior leadership * Support Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and international armaments cooperation efforts, as applicable Qualifications Minimum Required Qualifications: Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen Clearance: Current Top Secret Education and experience: * Bachelor's degree and 25 years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree and 15 years of relevant experience * Program management experience preferably within a DoD acquisition or other regulated environment Preferred Qualifications * PMP (Project Management Professional * DAWIA Level II or III in Program Management or equivalent * Experience supporting AFLCMC, SAF/AQ, or equivalent Air Force acquisition organizations * Experience with armament systems (air-to-air, air-to-surface munitions, missiles, or related systems) * Experience supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs * Strong knowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle processes and DoDI 5000 series * Experience developing and reviewing acquisition documentation (AS, SEP, TEMP, LCSP, etc.) * Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis and reporting * Experience with risk management and mitigation planning * Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) * Understanding of requirements development and JCIDS processes (ICD, CDD, CPD) Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following: * Ability to operate independently as a senior adviser to government leadership * Strong leadership and team coordination across cross-functional environments * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment * Strategic thinking and complex problem-solving abilities Additional Information Location: Eglin AFB, FL Travel: Travel may be required per the customer's discretion.
