The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving our marketing campaigns, overseeing the client database, and maintaining an active presence at local and regional associations and trade show events. This position is responsible for growing business profit and revenue while developing long-standing business relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand the competitive advantages of using SERVPRO and gain the ability to effectively educate clients and customers on the benefits of our brand.
  • Prepare a business development plan based on past performance and franchise growth objectives to meet or exceed planned revenue and activity goals for the business development team.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen client relationships throughout the sales territory while continually developing new prospects and leads to ensure revenue growth.
  • Complete an annual marketing needs assessment, including planning Continuing Education (CE) classes, lunch-and-learn events, budgeting, and developing action plans for key business decision-makers.
  • Perform comparative analysis of revenue, collection, and activity metrics against established goals.
  • Develop marketing initiatives and budgets to support the annual marketing plan.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and manage business development and marketing team members.
  • Learn and utilize fire chasing techniques within the marketplace.
  • Manage and implement Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Emergency Ready Profile (ERP) listings.
  • Achieve annual revenue goals of $1.5 million.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of direct sales experience.
  • At least one (1) year of management experience.
  • Proven ability to build and lead a successful team.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Process-oriented and results-driven mindset.
  • Experience within the cleaning, restoration, construction, or insurance industries preferred.
Skills / Physical Demands / Competencies
  • Ability to repetitively push, pull, lift, and carry objects.
  • Ability to work with and around cleaning agents and restoration products.
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check, subject to applicable law.
