Business Development Manager

Senior Helpers of Oceanside, CA

About Us

Senior Helpers is a trusted leader in in-home senior care, dedicated to helping older adults live safely and independently in their own homes. Our Oceanside office is looking for an energetic, relationship-driven Business Development Manager to grow awareness of our services and build lasting partnerships throughout North San Diego County.

Position Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving client referrals and revenue growth by building and maintaining relationships with referral sources such as hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, physicians' offices, discharge planners, elder law attorneys, and other community partners. This is a field-based, quota-driven sales role ideal for someone who thrives on networking, relationship-building, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain referral relationships with healthcare professionals, senior living communities, hospitals, rehab facilities, and other community organizations.
  • Conduct regular in-person visits, presentations, and lunch-and-learns with referral partners to educate them on Senior Helpers' services.
  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan to meet or exceed monthly and annual referral and revenue goals.
  • Represent Senior Helpers at community events, health fairs, networking groups, and industry association meetings.
  • Respond promptly to inbound inquiries from families and referral partners, converting leads into new clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of referral activity, sales pipeline, and outreach efforts in the company CRM.
  • Collaborate with the office's care team to ensure smooth intake and onboarding of new clients referred through sales efforts.
  • Stay current on local market trends, competitor services, and community resources for seniors and their families.
  • Uphold Senior Helpers' brand, mission, and values in all external communications and community interactions.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in outside sales, business development, or account management, preferably in home care, healthcare, senior services, or a related field.
  • Established network or familiarity with the North San Diego County / Oceanside healthcare and senior services community is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort using a CRM to track activity and pipeline.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach and genuine interest in improving the lives of seniors and their families.
  • Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance (frequent local travel required).
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; equivalent experience will be considered.
