Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field and considerable experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Summary:
  • Conduct the financial and business processes that will best support the educational goals of Aitkin Public Schools
  • Supervise the business office:
    • District financial accounting
    • Payroll functions
    • Accountability for revenues
    • Support in processing fringe benefit billings
    • Provide for internal review of procedures and controls
    • Accountability for local, state and federal funding
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive financial, personnel, and operational matters.

Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly
  • Budget development and management.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time in a positive multi-tasking environment
  • Ability and desire to be a responsible steward of public funds
