Job Summary
Daher Logistics North America is looking for a new Business Development Manager to join our team in either our Fort Lauderdale, FL headquarters or our Logistics site in Charleston, SC. The Business Development Manager (or New Business Sales Manager) is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for the Logistics Division. Its primary focus is on acquiring new clients and establishing strategic partnerships within the North American market for Daher Logistics. Focusing on the manufacturing, services, and defense sectors, this role involves developing strong customer relationships, contributing to the commercial strategy, and expanding the company's presence in North America. This is an individual contributor role, focused on hands-on sales execution and account management.
This individual contributor role focuses on generating new business, maintaining strong customer relationships, and contributing to the growth of Daher Aerospace's Logistics Division in North America. This role is critical to expanding Daher Aerospace's Logistics Division in North America, focusing on sustainable growth, customer retention, and innovative business solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of commercial strategies through market research and analysis of industry trends.
  • Proactively identify and engage prospective customers within the North American market, developing tailored sales strategies to meet their needs.
  • Present the company's commercial offering and collaborate with the technical department to build a tailored solution that aligns with the needs and expectations of potential customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define commercial targets and support the overall business development process.
  • Drive business growth by identifying opportunities for additional services, contract renewals, and new product offerings for existing accounts.
  • Provide market insights and assist in the research and development of new products by sharing customer feedback and industry knowledge.

Sales and Account Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for major account customers in the manufacturing, services, and defense sectors.
  • Manage the new customer account, partner, contracts after securing new business, ensure consistent and proactive customer relationship management.
  • Oversee customer interactions, contracts, tenders, and business opportunities with efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Resolve customer issues and escalate as necessary to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of customer data and activities in the CRM system.
  • Represent Daher Logistics at industry events, trade shows, and internal cross-functional meetings to promote the company's logistics offerings.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, operations, technical experts and transversal business development function to ensure a seamless experience for customers and prospects.
  • Lead the commercial offer construction with the support of technical expert, financial and operation department.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to align the logistics division's objectives with broader company goals.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in logistics, aerospace, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing key accounts.
  • Strong understanding of the North American market, particularly in the manufacturing, services, and defense sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven background in Key Account Management, supported by a strategic and data-driven business management mindset.
  • Senior-level experience or a solid foundational background within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong understanding of industry practices, particularly in supply chain management services.
  • Experience with CRM tools and sales reporting systems.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Based in Charleston or Fort Lauderdale Florida.

Information related to the position: (Required for all positions)
  • The compensation range is $120,000 to $140,000 in base salary plus an annual target bonus.
  • The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Daher considers a number of factors when determining salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, skills, and current market conditions.
