Job description

Business Development Manager

Acceler8 Labs is where growth gets personal. We're a performance marketing company founded by two former Facebookers who decided to build something better after seeing the gap between traditional agencies and the real needs of modern brands. We believe scale isn't about bigger budgets but smarter decisions. Our team has helped brands across the globe generate over $1 billion in revenue by combining sharp strategy, bold creativity, and hands-on execution. We're designed for the digital era, where everything evolves at the speed of light. Our work evolves alongside it, adapting to the industries, platforms, and audiences we help grow. We partner with some of the world's fastest-growing brands, from disruptive startups to global household names, to turn marketing spend into measurable business growth.

About the Role

We're looking for a full-time Business Development Manager who can turn great work into consistent growth. You'll be the first point of contact for brands ready to scale. Your role is to open doors, build relationships, and bring new clients into the Acceler8 fold across North America. This is a sales-driven role that blends persistence with insight. You'll prospect, pitch, and follow up with potential clients who could benefit from what we do best: performance marketing that actually performs. You'll work closely with leadership to sharpen our story, identify high-potential accounts, and help drive the next wave of growth for Acceler8.

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Develop and manage a pipeline of qualified leads through research, outreach, and relationship building
  • Conduct cold outreach (email, LinkedIn, and calls) to connect with decision-makers at marketing-led, performance-driven brands
  • Lead discovery conversations, identify client needs, and position Acceler8 as the right growth partner
  • Create and present tailored proposals that communicate our value clearly and confidently
  • Collaborate with leadership on outreach strategy, pricing models, and proposal materials
  • Maintain accurate tracking and reporting of pipeline progress, outreach activity, and conversion rates
  • Represent Acceler8 at industry events and networking opportunities to strengthen our market presence

You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have 5-10 years of experience in business development or sales, with at least 3 years in media, advertising, or performance marketing agencies
  • Know how to sell marketing services - not just by the numbers, but by understanding how agencies deliver results
  • Can comfortably talk about paid media, performance strategy, creative testing, and what sets great campaigns apart
  • Have a builder's mindset and like being hands-on, from cold outreach to closing
  • Are curious, strategic, and tenacious when it comes to building relationships and winning new business
  • Live in Canada (we're a remote-first team)

Why Acceler8 Labs?

We built Acceler8 to bridge the gap between agencies and brands, replacing complexity with clarity and collaboration. Our model is rooted in three pillars: Fuel (media), Spark (creative), and Insight (analytics), each designed to move faster, think smarter, and deliver measurable impact.

Here you'll have the room to experiment, fail fast, and learn even faster. Your ideas won't get lost in a Slack thread. You'll be part of a team that values transparency, curiosity, and craftsmanship.

We take care of our people so they can take care of their work, their families, and themselves.

We offer:

  • Remote workdays so you can design a schedule that works for your rhythm
  • Flexible hours because great work can happen anywhere (and we trust you to know where that is)
  • Comprehensive benefits to make sure you and your family are supported, healthy, and cared for
  • Learning and certification opportunities to help you grow your craft, not just your title
  • Real autonomy because we believe in hiring smart people and giving them the space to do great work
  • The chance to build something that scales for our clients, and for you

If you're ready to lead a team that's redefining what performance marketing looks like, we'd love to chat.
