About the Role:
The Business Development Manager will establish new sales in existing and new channels in the Canadian market. Their goal will be to create demand at the contractor and end-user level and guide opportunities to our wholesale channel partners. The Business Development Manager will manage and support our Manufacturer Rep Agencies throughout the provinces of Canada.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Deliver monthly and yearly sales objectives in the Canadian provinces
  • Create demand at contractor/end-user level and guide resulting opportunities to channel partners
  • Deploy the IPSBS throughout the territories and use the tools to drive breakthrough performance
  • Identify and quantify opportunities/plans to grow sales; develop, define and deploy a yearly business plan focusing on key accounts. core product sales, new product development and channel opportunities
  • Work closely with manufacturer reps, product managers and marketing teams to gain early adoption of new products
  • Engage current users to expand awareness, educate, ask for referrals, identify new opportunities, and develop account intelligence
  • Capable of understanding customer pain points, requirements and correlating potential business to value
  • Aptitude to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently, while achieving sales goals
  • Promotes a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverables
  • Demonstrates initiative and brings new ideas to the company
  • Drive, Grit, Team Oriented: strong desire to compete and win

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing or Engineering and/or comparable Technical School, training or field experience preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in plumbing/building/construction sales
  • Experience calling on wholesalers, plumbing contractors, builders, and product engineers
  • Position requires 50%-60% travel
