ABOUT US
We're a State Farm agency in Arvada built on long-term client relationships, not transactions. We service the entire state of Colorado and have plans to expand to neighboring states. As we grow our commercial lines focus, we're looking for someone who shares that approach someone who builds trust before they build a book.
THE ROLE
This is a hybrid position with roughly half your time in our office collaborating with the team, and half in the field meeting commercial property owners face-to-face. You'll focus on specific commercial risks and you'll work closely with our producers and agency leadership, with full support, training, and mentorship as you grow into the role.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Connect with commercial property owners, property managers, and CRE brokers across the Denver metro
  • Get out into properties walk strip malls, visit office parks, meet owners on their turf
  • Represent the agency at various trade shows, chamber events, and other industry functions for the purposes of networking
  • Partner with our licensed producers to bring opportunities across the finish line
  • Keep your pipeline organized in our CRM and share what's working with the team

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Experience in commercial property management, commercial real estate, or business development (insurance background not required we'll teach you what you need)
  • Comfort building rapport with business owners and property professionals
  • A high degree of autonomy, self-direction, and good judgment about how to spend your time
  • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years in commercial property management, commercial real estate, business development, or B2B sales
  • Demonstrated track record of building professional relationships or generating new business
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, comfortable initiating conversations with business owners and decision-makers
  • Highly self-directed, able to manage your own schedule and stay productive with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency with basic technology (CRM, email, calendar, mobile apps)
  • Reliable transportation, valid Colorado driver's license, and a clean driving record
  • Able to work a hybrid schedule with regular field travel across the Denver metro
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Active Colorado Property & Casualty insurance license (or willingness to obtain within a defined window post-hire)
  • Direct experience working with commercial property owners, landlords, or CRE brokers
  • Familiarity with commercial lines insurance or lessor-risk exposures (strip malls, warehouses, office buildings)
  • Existing network of contacts in Denver-metro commercial real estate or property management
  • Experience with a CRM platform for pipeline and activity tracking
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, real estate, or a related field
  • History of meeting or exceeding sales/production goals
