Job Description

Global Construction / Kapella Group is seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager to help drive growth within our commercial construction and renovation division.

This is not a maintenance account role.

We are looking for a true hunter - someone who understands relationship-driven business development, knows how to open doors, generate opportunities, build pipelines, and help convert opportunities into revenue within commercial construction markets. This role offers the opportunity to join a growing organization, make a direct impact on company growth, and help shape the future direction of business development within the company.

What You'll Do:

  • Generate and develop new business opportunities within commercial construction and renovation markets
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, relationship development, and strategic outreach
  • Develop relationships with owners, developers, property managers, asset managers, facility leaders, brokers, and decision makers
  • Conduct meetings, presentations, property visits, networking events, and business development activities
  • Identify qualified project opportunities and guide opportunities through the sales process
  • Collaborate with estimating, operations, and leadership teams to support proposals and opportunity strategy
  • Track pipeline activity, forecasts, and business development efforts
  • Contribute ideas, market intelligence, and strategic input to support company growth
Requirements

Preferred Experience:

  • 5+ years of business development, sales, account development, or growth leadership experience within construction sector
  • Commercial construction, renovation, roofing, property, real estate, facilities, hospitality, senior living, or related industry experience strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to generate opportunities and build revenue pipelines
  • Strong networking, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-starter mentality with strong accountability and follow-through
  • Comfortable operating in a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial environment
  • CRM experience preferred (HubSpot experience is a plus)
