Job description

Velociti is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to join our growing sales team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys prospecting, building relationships from the ground up, and driving new business opportunities. You'll play a key role in expanding our client base by identifying and engaging potential customers, qualifying leads, and supporting the sales pipeline.
We're looking for someone who is self-motivated, competitive, and thrives in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
What You'll Do
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through outbound prospecting (cold calls, email outreach, networking)
  • Qualify leads and schedule introductory meetings with decision-makers
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospects using CRM tools
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads
  • Track activity and performance metrics to meet or exceed targets
  • Maintain a strong understanding of our services and industry trends

What You Bring
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in outbound sales, business development, or lead generation
  • Proven ability to generate leads and build relationships through cold outreach
  • Experience selling in the facilities services industry is preferred-this includes janitorial services, one-time jobs or projects, maintenance, and engineering services
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Marketing knowledge or experience is a plus
  • Industry-specific experience not required, but a willingness to learn quickly is essential
