JOB DESCRIPTION


POSITION: MANAGER OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

LOCATION: Auburn Hills, MI


OBJECTIVE

The primary responsibility of the Manager of Business Development is to cultivate new business opportunities with clients, aligning efforts with the company's business plan. The role involves a market focus on clients and projects within industries that complement CCC's expertise and capabilities. Travel will be necessary. This position directly reports to the Vice President of Business Development and involves regular interaction with the executive leadership team at Commercial Contracting Corporation.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop and execute marketing plans for both new and existing markets.
  • Cultivate relationships with clients including but not limited to Engineer-Procure-Construct firms, Construction Managers and Program Managers, suppliers, engineers, and architects to enhance CCC's pipeline of concrete, steel and carpentry trades work, aligning with our business plan.
  • Identify potential leads and projects, implementing strategies to position CCC favorably for negotiations and winning pursuits with clients.
  • Expand and uphold existing relationships.
  • Represent and promote the CCC brand through participation in industry trade shows, charity functions, networking events, golf outings, and other social functions.
  • Create, prepare, and deliver presentations to clients and other associates within the AEC industry.
  • Actively contribute to and participate in all CCC branding campaigns through various media and industry events.
  • Maintain records of key contacts, conversations, hot buttons, and important communications with AEC industry contacts and clients in the company's CRM program.
  • Travel will be necessary.


CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5-15 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and follow-up skills are crucial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is required.
