Account Executive
Location: Houston, TX
Type: Full-Time | Field-Based
About the Role
Floorplan Xpress is seeking an Account Executive who is a proven B2B hunter. This role is focused on new business development, including cold calling, prospecting, and closing new accounts. This is not a retail or dealership sales role and is not account management.
If you are energized by building a pipeline from scratch, getting in front of decision-makers, and winning new business, you'll do well here.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect and generate new business through cold calls, cold emails, in-person visits, networking, and social outreach
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified B2B opportunities
  • Identify, pursue, and close new independent dealer and business accounts
  • Conduct discovery conversations and present tailored solutions
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly new-business sales targets
  • Travel within your assigned territory to meet prospects and attend industry events
  • Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and forecasting data in the CRM
  • Coordinate a professional handoff of new accounts to internal teams after closing

Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience in B2B outside sales or business development
  • Demonstrated success in hunter-style sales (cold calling, outbound prospecting, pipeline creation)
  • Comfortable with high-volume outbound activity and rejection
  • Strong communication skills (phone, in person, written)
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in the field
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel regularly within assigned territory

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience selling financial services or solutions-based products
  • Experience selling to business owners or senior decision-makers
  • CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
