Job description

Business Analyst II

Location: Hybrid 1: This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

The Business Analyst II is responsible for translating basic business needs into application software requirements.

How you will make an impact:

  • Analyzes business needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.
  • Determines specific business application software requirements to address specific business needs.
  • Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.
  • Acts as liaison with users of the software to address questions/issues.
  • Supports a reporting-heavy operational environment with primary focus on turnaround time (TAT) reporting and operational reporting activities.
  • Develops, maintains, validates, and analyzes reports to support business operations, compliance, and client needs.
  • Key reporting responsibilities include:
    • Accreditation reporting
    • Turnaround time (TAT) reporting
    • Staff reporting
    • Client reporting
    • Pharmacy reporting
    • Claim stop reports
  • Monitors report accuracy and investigates discrepancies or exceptions related to turnaround time and operational reporting.
  • Performs case-level reviews as needed to research and resolve reporting exceptions or flagged turnaround time issues.
  • Collaborates with operational and business teams to ensure timely delivery of reporting outputs and support process improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 3 years related business analysis experience, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with turnaround time (TAT) calculations, reporting, and interpretation strongly preferred.
  • Ability to accurately identify, calculate, and analyze turnaround time (TAT) metrics preferred.
  • Experience applying state-specific reporting requirements and turnaround time grids preferred.
  • Experience supporting multiple lines of business, including Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, and FEP, preferred.

For URAC accredited areas, the following professional competencies apply: Associates in this role are expected to have strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills.
