Position Overview

We are seeking a results-driven and client-focused Strategic Account Manager to join our Voith Paper Team in the Pulp and Paper industry. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and expanding long-term relationships with a portfolio of key customers. As the account owner, you will be the main point of contact for Products & Services (P&S) and serve as a trusted advisor, understanding client needs, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring the delivery of innovative solutions that drive mutual growth and profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Champion safety in everything we do.
  • Deliver on KPI’s for strategic accounts; Orders, Sales, Profitability, Win Rate and NPS by account.
  • Develop and execute account plans that support the long-term P&S strategic plan.
  • Serve as the primary voice to the defined strategic customers for P&S.
  • Enhance Voith’s brand within strategic accounts through relationships, world-class customer experience, value-based solutions, etc.
  • Collaborate with technical and product teams to develop tailored solutions that address client challenges and align with their business objectives. Collaborate with Voith stakeholders as needed to execute these customer solutions including applications, product management, FRS, BTG, etc.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and service agreements to optimize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer internally, championing their needs and driving continuous improvement in Products and Services.
  • Be up-to-speed on market trends, innovation, competitive offerings and customer developments; anticipate and leverage this knowledge to differentiate Voith with our customers.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Safety leader/role model.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of account management/ sales experience, or similar leadership roles
  • Strong understanding of Pulp and Paper manufacturing processes, market dynamics, and customer requirements.
  • Ability to identify, document and leverage value with our customers to achieve differentiation versus the competition.
  • Strategic mindset and the ability to develop differentiated strategic plans and approaches. Ability to execute strategic plans and deliver strong financial results.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to comfortably and effectively operate from the C-Suite to the plant floor.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and influence decision-makers at all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand how our customers make money from and translate this to the right customer focus to demonstrate Voith as a key business partner
  • Ability to lead and drive results through multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Willingness to travel as required (up to 60%).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Driving/Flying for extended periods.
  • Prolonged exposure to extreme conditions found in industrial settings.
