Job Description

Job Title: Federal Accounting Analyst

Duration: 3+ Months

Location: Arlington, VA

Job Description:

The Accounting Analyst will serve as a member of a large project team and will support the client's financial improvement and audit compliance goals through a variety of work streams. The team member will be required to possess and/or build a working knowledge of financial management and logistics business processes to support our client in achieving financially sound, improved business processes.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Minimum 1 internship in an accounting related field, such as tax accounting, auditing, or accounting consulting

CPA Candidate

Preferred Requirements:

  • Self-driven, willingness to learn, and able to develop relationships with client personnel
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member
  • Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
  • Good understanding of auditing procedures or audit readiness activities
  • Basic understanding of DoD property (asset) management and valuation
  • Working knowledge of GAAP, GAGAs Yellow Book audit standards.
  • General understanding of accounting system processing and interfaces, specifically ERP systems
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
