Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable School Bus Driver to join our team between the ages of 25 to 65 years old. As a School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for transporting students to and from school and extracurricular events, following a scheduled route and ensuring the safety of all passengers.

Your duties will include conducting pre-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition, observing safety and traffic rules during the journey, and maintaining order and discipline among students on the bus.

Additionally, you will be expected to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.

Overall, your role as a School Bus Driver is crucial in providing safe and reliable transportation for students, contributing to their educational experience.


Responsibilities:

  • Transport children and other passengers to and from school
  • Obey all traffic laws
  • Maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus at all times
  • Ensure the safety of all students
  • Verify permissions for children who ride home with friends
  • Assist students with getting on and off the bus as needed
  • Discipline children as needed to maintain a safe environment
  • Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route
  • Attend safety meetings as required


Qualifications:

  • Between 25-65 years old

  • A valid CDL with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements (Or willing to obtain - FBCS covers Class B CDL costs)
  • Able to occasionally lift 50 lbs
  • Willingness to submit to random drug screening
