Job description

Position Summary:

Part-time, as-needed CDL driver for Western Colorado University Athletics Department. Must have Class B CDL with passenger endorsement, no air-brake restriction & an excellent driving record. $35/hour up to 6 hours or $350/day + per diem.

Job Description:

Western seeks a bus driver with a current CDL for part-time, as-needed work for Western Colorado University Athletics Department.

Duties: Transport Western Athletes to competitions in Colorado and throughout the west. Safely and confidently operate 56-passenger motor-coach or 30-passenger shuttle bus in a variety of weather conditions including rain, ice and snow over mountainous roads. Must be available for overnight trips and late night returns to Gunnison. Must work with coaching staff to deal with any changes or interruptions in trip itinerary. Conducts vehicle pre-trip and post trip inspections and complies with Western's vehicle services policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications: Must have current Colorado Class B CDL with passenger endorsement, no air-brake restriction & an excellent driving record.

Employment is subject to successful previous employer record check, department of motor vehicle record check, FMCSA drug and alcohol clearinghouse query, and pre-employment drug screening.

Compensation: $35/hour up to 6 hours or $350/day + per diem. Benefits include PERA retirement plan participation, discounted Western fitness center membership, admission to athletic events for which duties are performed.
