Job description

School Bus Driver

Centerville-Abington Community Schools is now accepting applications for a School Bus Driver and Substitute Bus Drivers for the 2025-2026 school year. Job responsibilities and qualifications are listed below:

Responsibilities:

  • Full time school bus route (employment contract)
  • Mandatory substitute bus driving (as-needed)
  • Additional duties assigned by the Assistant Superintendent

Qualifications:

  • Hold a Commercial Driver’s License with School Bus and Air Brake Endorsements
  • Pre-employment drug and alcohol test if applicable
  • Meet all D.O.T. and Indiana medical fitness requirements
  • Good driving record (verified through BMV)

Preference will be given to candidates with the following:

  • Verifiable supervisory and/or training experience
  • Good attendance record
  • Able to work a flexible work schedule
  • Verifiable school bus driving experience
  • Able to work well with staff, students and parents

Don’t have your CDL? We will pay for the training to become a bus driver.
