JOB SUMMARY:ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  The principle function of the Building Technician is to perform routine custodial, maintenance, cleaning and grounds keeping tasks in
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  school buildings and grounds to maintain a clean sanitary, and safe environment.ย  Additionally, an employee in this class may beย 
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  assigned to other maintenance duties in District facilities.ย  The position is supervised by the Custodial Foreman.ย  The principle duties are
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  performed in a public school building environment and include use of electrically powered cleaning equipment and cleaning substances
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  that may involve related hazards and outdoor work in inclement weather conditions.ย  Must meet certification criteria, which includes
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  working knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and grounds.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Building maintenance certification is required.ย  High school diploma or GED equivalency.
