Job description

Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for providing oversight of select projects, supervising or supporting Project Managers, and supporting business development efforts, including leading or supporting proposal capture efforts, identifying key personnel, proposal pricing support, and supporting other technical requirements. Project oversight includes proactive measures that support process improvement including project management and customer interface and analysis of project budget and operating costs. The Operations Manager ensures projects are delivered in adherence to project scope, schedules, and budgets. The OM is responsible for exercising leadership, maintaining high morale, and directing the performance of all personnel associated with the contracts.


Responsibilities
  • Serve as the senior non-executive point of technical and managerial contact between Chenega and Government program stakeholders.
  • Provide overall technical and managerial support and guidance to Project Managers.
  • Reporting key performance indicators, achievements, risks, legal exposures, and other performance highlights or concerns to the company executive.
  • Foster a favorable work environment and promote quality service.
  • Ensure the timely and compliant completion and submittal of contract deliverables.
  • Visit assigned work locations as directed to conduct quality inspections and to meet with employees, management and customer stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, business, or a technical field related to the services required. Experience may be substituted for formal education.
  • Ten (10) years of management experience in relevant programs (commercial and/or government) with demonstrated skills in program management in customer focused environment.
  • Successfully completed required training and have obtained all required permits, licenses, certifications, and security clearances.
