About the Role:

As Operations Manager, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of HVAC and Test & Balance operations across multiple projects in Richmond, Virginia. You will be responsible for aligning resources, processes, and budgets to meet service, quality, and safety targets while supporting long-term business objectives. Working closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders, you will drive continuous improvement and ensure consistent delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage operational teams, setting clear objectives, monitoring performance, and providing coaching and support.
  • Plan and schedule HVAC and Test & Balance projects, ensuring efficient allocation of labour, equipment, and materials.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in line with quality and safety standards.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, tracking costs and implementing measures to control expenses and improve margins.
  • Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Implement and oversee operational processes, procedures, and workflows to standardise best practices across projects.
  • Lead change initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance service delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align operational activities with customer requirements and business goals.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an operations management role within HVAC, mechanical services, or a closely related technical environment.
