Job description

JOB FUNCTION: The primary responsibilities are to monitor, report, and communicate activities on building monitoring systems, as well, as facility incidents and events. These activities may include operational, mechanical, electrical, construction, and renovation events. This position also provides coverage if the scheduled BOS is out. This is an Emergency Essential Position.

HOURS: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday - Friday.

Must be able to work night shift and a rotational shift if the department requires it.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work rotational shift in a 24 x 7 operations center.
  • Employee will be in a call center environment, monitoring alarms and facilitating customer service inquiries.
  • Provide coverage in the event of an unplanned absence or emergency to include days, evenings, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Report for all assigned shifts as this position is emergency essential.
  • Handle all inbound/outbound calls in an articulate, professional manner.
  • Record daily events into an electronic log.
  • Receive and create service/work orders using multiple databases. Research, review, and complete all external work requests for non-contracted sites.
  • Use two-way radio communication to dispatch response to emergency and routine requests for service.
  • Report and update management on operational issues.
  • Establish the Building Operations Center as a command center during emergencies, to serve as the focal point for communication, dispatch, and detailed logs in accordance with the Emergency Response Procedures.
  • Ability to use of computers and computer software for recording, modifying, tracking, and displaying data, developing charts and graphs, and word processing.
  • Assemble, format, and/or author routine correspondence, reports, forms, and memorandums from various files or rough draft format using MS Office applications.
  • Photocopy and print routine reports and correspondence and distribute to the appropriate personnel.
  • Receive and report Amentum employee queries and call-offs in accordance with company policies and directives.
  • Support and contribute to company safety guidelines and regulations through receiving, compiling, and reporting identified hazards, incidents, and injury notifications.
  • Follow all policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to adapt to frequent change and a hectic, fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal with others in a positive, customer -focused manner.
  • Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work, for providing additional shift coverage, and for occasional off-site meetings
  • Employee must be skilled in using Microsoft outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Employee should have experience working in customer service
  • 2-3 years' experience in call center environment/Facilities environment
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI U.S. government security clearance with polygraph. Note: U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

EXPERIENCE: Two to three years of experience in a similar role, both in customer service and operations, preferably in building maintenance.


EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent, with additional training in the use of computers for data entry, word processing, reporting, spreadsheets, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbents may work in conditions that require operating industrial machinery/power tools and motor vehicles.
