Job Description

The Building Engineer is responsible for overseeing the daily operation, maintenance, and reliability of all building systems at the corporate headquarters. This role serves as the technical lead for facilities operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment that supports executive leadership, staff, and visitors. The position requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a proactive, service-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all HQ building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life-safety systems
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for headquarters facilities operations
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and resolve complex building system issues
  • Develop, execute, and oversee preventative maintenance schedules and programs
  • Conduct regular inspections and walkthroughs to ensure building integrity, safety, and appearance
  • Coordinate and manage vendors, contractors, and service providers for repairs, inspections, and capital projects
  • Support executive offices, conference spaces, and high-profile meetings with priority service and minimal disruption
  • Maintain detailed maintenance logs, work orders, compliance records, and reports
  • Ensure compliance with all local codes, safety regulations, and corporate standards
  • Support sustainability, energy efficiency, and cost-control initiatives
  • Provide on-call or after-hours support as required for HQ operations
  • Mentor and guide junior building engineers or facilities staff, if applicable

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Building Engineer or Facilities Engineer, with senior-level responsibilities
