Job description

The Dartmouth Group is a full part time Maintenance Technician for its high-end, luxury condominium community in the heart of Boston's Back Bay area.
Ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in residential or hotel maintenance to include light plumbing, light electrical, and light carpentry work (dry wall repair, patch and paint).
Daily responsibilities:
  • Walk and inspect common areas for maintenance concerns.
  • Review and prioritize Word Order Tickets through Building Link.
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical repairs to ensure that the building is properly maintained.
  • Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.
  • Update Work Order Tickets with the work done and close out when the repair is completed.
  • Follow routine and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure that building systems operate efficiently and the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.
  • Inspect, operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems & equipment as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Pay rate: $27-$29 an hour.
  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • 2+ years of general, residential, maintenance experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
  • Customer service driven and team oriented.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, takes the initiative, with strong follow-up skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical and plumbing codes and maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.); OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements and State or local governmental safety requirements.
  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
