Job description

The Garden Homes Landscape Maintenance Associate is responsible for the maintenance of 173 Garden Home Properties. This includes mowing, trimming, edging, blowing of all lawns, weeding of landscape beds, pruning of hedges and trees up to 15’, irrigation checks along with overseeing and performing quality control checks of the chemical spraying contract and the installation of mulch that is outsourced each year. Must be customer service orientated and comfortable interacting with homeowners and management daily.
This job description includes, but is not limited to, the duties and responsibilities noted below.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Must be adaptable and have a "can do mentality"
  • Inspect and maintain all plant material to include sod for all homes
  • Maintain Garden Home landscape beds and lawn care.
  • Fertilize lawns and shrubs by outsourced provider for all homes.
  • Perform irrigation system maintenance .
  • Perform monthly area storm drain checks as assigned.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and operational.
  • Operate Department vehicles, trailers, and work carts.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or General Services Manager.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be able to communicate with all team members
  • Must be able to work Monday - Friday (7:00 AM- 3:30 PM) With an occasional Saturday work schedule due to inclement weather conditions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High personal attendance standards
  • Ability to focus under pressure and maintain a professional atmosphere
  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Experience in landscaping and grounds required
  • Knowledge in the use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
