Position: Superintendent roles in 3 locations - Spencer, IA, Waterloo, IA and Iowa City, IA

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable, goal-driven Construction Superintendent to immediately fill an open position in Spencer, Iowa. The Superintendent will provide on-site leadership and management for commercial construction projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role requires hands-on construction experience and the ability to oversee all phases of the project lifecycle.
This is a direct-hire position.

What you will be doing as a Superintendent …
• Provide day-to-day on-site management and supervision of commercial construction projects
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, labor crews, materials, and equipment
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Enforce jobsite safety policies and maintain compliance with all safety regulations
• Monitor project schedules and budgets, identifying and resolving issues proactively
• Perform or assist with construction tasks as needed, including:
- Demolition and site preparation
- Earthwork and grading
- Mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete
- Layout and framing of structures
- Installation of subfloors, walls, and ceilings
- Steel and precast erection
- Metal stud framing and carpentry
- Welding and signaling equipment operators
• Maintain clear communication with project managers, subcontractors, and clients

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or lead role on commercial construction projects
• Proven experience with:
- Concrete footings, foundations, and slab-on-grade (SOG)
