We leverage core skills in mechanical, electrical, and controls system engineering, project implementation, data analytics, and financial analysis to identify and implement energy and commissioning projects that achieve meaningful results for our clients.

For this position, we are looking for a highly motivated energy & commissioning engineer who is looking for a new challenge in applying skills to the high performance building landscape. Candidates should have a growth mindset and be willing to learn new skills in building engineering, analytics and control systems. Scope & Responsibilities

  • Support a diverse set of energy and commissioning projects, including new and existing buildings and enterprise automation scopes of work

  • Perform field work including site audits, systems testing, basic systems troubleshooting, and assist PMs and SMEs with the development of energy improvement measures

  • Execute the major tasks of the commissioning process, such as developing Cx plans, reviewing submittals, executing functional tests, and managing warranty period activities; exact tasks could vary based on a focus toward new construction or ongoing commissioning

  • Perform technical analysis necessary to support development and verification of energy savings for buildings and organizations

  • Use Altura data analytics tools and other industry resources in support of project tasks and client requests, including diagnosing energy performance issues and calculating performance metrics.

  • Support project managers in completing tasks on building decarbonization, building commissioning, and enterprise automation systems integration projects.

  • Engage proactively in training to build knowledge and comfort using engineering tools, leveraging in-house resources and engaging external classes/resources.

  • Periodically travel to job sites and office locations for field work.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience working on new construction commissioning projects, including tasks such as project management, design reviews, submittal reviews, Cx documentation coordination, functional testing, performance analysis using analytics tools.

  • Exemplary analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Critical thinker and problem-solver

  • Effective working in a collaborative team environment

  • Strong listening, communication and technical writing skills

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related discipline

Desired Qualifications

  • EIT / pathway to Professional Engineer (PE) accreditation

  • Minimum 3 years experience working on energy-related projects, including tasks such as energy savings project development, performing site energy audits, analysis and calculation of energy conservation measure performance, measurement and verification (M&V) of energy savings performance, use of analytics tools (e.g. SkySpark analytics).

Base salaries will be determined by factors such as geographic location, education, skills, experience, and market considerations. For this role the annual base salary range is $90,000 -$110,000.
