Kelso Building Services (KBS) is expanding its Building Automation and Smart Buildings Division and is seeking an experienced BAS Service Technician to support service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of Building Automation Systems throughout the Las Vegas market.

This position offers the opportunity to work with leading BAS technologies, advanced analytics, remote monitoring platforms, and mission-critical facilities including commercial office, healthcare, education, hospitality, industrial, and data center environments.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform service, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of BAS systems.
  • Diagnose HVAC equipment operation through control system analysis.
  • Commission and startup BAS controllers, devices, and integrations.
  • Modify graphics, schedules, trends, alarms, and sequences of operation.
  • Support remote troubleshooting efforts with the KBS Digital Operations Center (DOC).
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections on BAS systems.
  • Validate and troubleshoot BACnet, Modbus, and IP communications.
  • Create and maintain documentation, redlines, and service reports.
  • Assist with customer training and operational support.
  • Coordinate with HVAC technicians, electricians, IT personnel, and facility managers.
  • Support cybersecurity and remote access best practices for BAS networks.

Preferred Technical Experience

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of BAS service or controls experience.
  • Strong HVAC mechanical knowledge.
  • Ability to troubleshoot control sequences and HVAC equipment operation.
  • Experience with DDC controllers and field devices.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass background screening and drug testing.
