EMCOR Services Automated Controls is a turnkey solution provider of building automation and energy management systems for a variety of commercial, industrial, and other facilities. We specialize in designing and installing advanced automation solutions with intuitive and interactive graphical user interfaces.
Job Summary
DeBra-Kuempel is seeking to fill an Automation Graphics Designer Co-Op position for the EMCOR Services Automated Controls Division in our Columbus, Ohio location. As a member of our team, you will work with our Automation Graphics team to help create floorplan graphics and mechanical equipment graphics that will be used in building automation systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist in development of automation floor plan graphics (2D and 3D).
  • Assist in development of automation equipment graphics.
  • Assist Automation Graphics team with BAS site appearance improvements.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in the graphic design field required.
  • In lieu of pursuing the above-mentioned degree, extensive comparable experience may be considered.
  • Basic understanding of graphic design programs, including but not limited to: Fireworks and Illustrator.
  • Understanding of Viewbuilder and EIKON is strongly preferred, but not required.

Physical Demands
The work environment for this position is a professional office setting. This role will primarily work at a desk using a computer and other standard office equipment such as a scanner, telephone, copier, and postage machine. The environment is typically quiet to moderate in noise level and climate controlled.
This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks such as data entry, and occasionally stand, walk, bend, or reach. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds occasionally, such as boxes of files or office supplies. Visual acuity is required for reviewing documents and working on a computer screen for prolonged periods.
