We are looking for a Buildings and Grounds Support to join our Skilled Trades team. This position will be based at our Kohler, Wisconsin location.ย ย We specialize in manufacturing high-quality cast iron products.ย 

ย 
Crafting Excellence: Your Responsibilitiesย 

  • Operate all department machinery and equipment including, but not limited to roll-off trucks, front end loaders, street sweeper, skid steer, ToolCat, to perform a variety of operations, e.g. haul Foundry waste, Pottery cull, sand, recyclables, wood waste, trash, etc.ย 

  • Be capable of using Computerized Maintenance Management software to create work notifications, look-up, and order parts, print work orders, and enter time confirmations.ย 

  • Load and unload a large variety of incoming/outgoing materials and/or equipment.ย 

  • Plow snow / de-ice road and walk surfaces and assist in other snow removal operations.ย 

  • As required assist in switching railroad cars. Clean, lubricate and adjust rail switches as needed.ย 

  • Operate a power fork truck as needed to transport miscellaneous materials, parts, etc. on the company premises using proper rig and sling methods. (Includes unloading brass bar stock).ย 

  • Make deliveries of oils, greases, solvents, chemicals, propane tanks, and other supplies to production and maintenance departments. Includes picking up such chemicals, delivering too, and maintaining our hazardous storage area.ย 

  • Manage and facilitate Kohler industrial landfill and hazardous waste. Manage and facilitate campus salvage Materials.ย 

  • Support various types Kohler Stewardship programs.ย 

  • Fill equipment with fuel, check oil, and perform routine equipment checks as required to maintain equipment.ย 

  • Assemble / dis-assemble furniture, move furniture, or any related items supporting associate moves across the Wisconsin campus.ย 

  • Maintain roadways, grass areas, and well stations as required at the Kohler Industrial Landfill.ย 

  • Obtain and maintain a valid Wisconsin Landfill Operators Certification to qualify for working within the Kohler Co. Twin Oakes Landfill.ย 

  • Manage and maintain campus roads and parking lots, for maintenance and repair.ย 

  • Manage and maintain campus signage and labeling.ย
