The Center for Extended Care at Amherst, a family-owned and operated skilled nursing facility, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead our dedicated team of caregivers. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our nursing department, ensuring the highest standards of quality care and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures for the nursing department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.

  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment that promotes professional growth and development among staff members.

  • Collaborate with the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator to develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, satisfaction, and health.

  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of skilled nurses, including LPNs, RNs, and CNA's.
